Hi, I’m Shai — a Washington-based photographer, wife, and mother of three.

As a mother especially, I’ve always been drawn to documenting life as it’s happening — the fleeting moments, the emotion, the beauty found in everyday connection. What began with a simple 35mm point-and-shoot camera slowly became something much deeper over the years.

While earning my business degree with a focus in marketing and communications, I never fully understood where that path would lead me. But after spending a year planning my own wedding and realizing how important it was for me to build a life where I could both create and still be present for my children, photography no longer felt like just a hobby — it felt like purpose.

I’m deeply inspired by light, emotion, movement, and the moments that linger in your heart long after they pass. I have a special love for film photography, especially black and white film, and I’m passionate about creating imagery that feels timeless, honest, and deeply intentional.

For years, I carried creative ideas quietly in my heart before finally finding the courage to bring them to life through Shai Films Co.
